Why does nobody mention that a car cover traps moisture if the car sits for months
My neighbor in Phoenix told me last month he pulled his cover off after 5 months and found mildew on the seats because he parked it on dirt instead of a slab. That one detail made me rethink how I store my own car, since I always blamed the cover itself. Has anyone here dealt with a damp trunk after long storage, and did a vapor barrier under the cover actually help?

The dirt vs slab point is huge, gravel holds water way worse than concrete.
