I hit 50 rejections on job applications and it was weirdly freeing

After I got that 50th 'no thanks' email last month, I just sat there for a minute... I'd been keeping a spreadsheet since January. I thought hitting that number would feel awful, but it just made me realize the process is a numbers game and not a personal thing. Has anyone else found a weird peace after tracking their job search like that?

Honestly, that's a really healthy way to look at it. Keeping a spreadsheet turns all that noise into actual data you can see. It stops being about you and just becomes a count, right? Getting to fifty must have felt like finishing a weird, tough level in a game. It sounds like you finally saw the system for what it is.

Yeah, a spreadsheet saved my sanity too.
