Just got ghosted after a final round interview that went great

Had a 3-round interview loop last week with a startup in Austin, nailed all the technical questions and even clicked with the team. Now it's been 8 days of radio silence and their job posting is still up. Has anyone else had hiring teams just vanish like this?

Damn, that sucks. I mean, eight days of silence after a final round is rough, especially when you felt like you clicked with everyone. Did they at least give you a timeline for when they'd get back to you during the interview? I've had hiring teams pull this crap before, and it usually means they're either dragging their feet or waiting on someone else. Hang in there though, maybe they're just slow.

Yeah "eight days of silence" hits hard. I remember back when I was job hunting a few years ago I had a similar thing happen with a company, turns out the hiring manager had a family emergency and literally forgot to email anyone for two weeks. Once they got back they actually apologized and offered me the gig but by then I had already accepted another offer. Point is sometimes it's just chaos on their end not necessarily a knock on you. Keep applying to other places in the meantime, you never know what's going on behind the scenes.
