My third interview was weeks ago and still no word, ugh
Hiring timelines need to be faster, period.

We had this new guy at the post office, Carl, who finished his training on a Friday. They told him he'd get his route assignment the next Monday. Three Mondays went by with him just sorting loose mail in the back... finally his certification packet just showed up on a supervisor's desk with no note. Some places just move at their own speed, for no clear reason.

That post office story shows how systems just slow down for no clear reason. You see it at the DMV where lines crawl because someone forgot to update a computer system. Even in schools, permission slips can sit on a desk for weeks before anyone acts. Paperwork seems to enter a black hole until it magically reappears.

Been there, it's the worst kind of waiting game. What finally got me a response last time was a short, polite email to the main HR contact. I just said I was still very interested and asked if there was an updated timeline for their decision. Another time I actually called the front desk and was transferred to the hiring manager who said my file was just sitting there. Sometimes they just need a small push to remember you exist.
