I took the startup role for $15k less, and it taught me more about risk and resilience than any corporate training ever could. Anyone else face a similar fork in the road early on?

It's wild how we're taught to avoid risk, but the biggest lessons come from those leaps. You see it with people who move to new cities or switch careers later in life too. That early choice builds a kind of grit you just can't buy. The safe path gives you comfort, but the hard road gives you a whole different skill set for handling life's mess. It's about more than just a job, it's how you learn to deal with not knowing what comes next.

I mean yeah maybe but do we have to make it sound so profound. Moving to a new city at 22 doesn't automatically make you some gritty survivalist... sometimes you just end up eating ramen in a studio and still not knowing how to deal with life's mess. I know plenty of people who took the "hard road" and just ended up burned out and bitter about it. And plenty who played it safe and still learned how to handle curveballs. It's not one size fits all you know. Honestly I'm tired of acting like every decision is some character building epic.
