Switched from a salary job to commission and I don't regret it

I spent 3 years at a marketing firm making $52k flat no matter how hard I worked. A buddy in sales convinced me to try a commission-only role at his company, and after 6 months I'm averaging $4,200 a month with way more control over my time. Has anyone else made a similar jump and found it worth the risk?

Wish I could say I made the jump, but I'm still sitting in my cubicle eating sad desk lunch and watching the clock. Maybe I'll have the guts to try it when I finish this bag of chips.
