TIL that ignoring my dad's advice on interviewing cost me $5,000 a year
My dad told me to always negotiate the first salary offer, but I was too nervous and took the job in Omaha at their starting rate. Three months later I found out the other new hire asked for more and got it, now I kick myself every payday. Has anyone else learned this the hard way?
