A finish guy in Spokane told me my 16 oz hammer was costing me money
I was framing a garage in Spokane last month and this older finish carpenter watched me swing my 16 oz all day. He said a 22 oz is fine for framing but once you move to trim, that heavy head just beats up the wood and your elbow. I tried his 12 oz for a day of casing and my shoulders felt way better by 4 pm. Does anyone else switch hammers depending on the job or do you just carry one and deal with it?
