Feeling the squeeze to rush carpentry jobs and it's not right
I've seen more jobs where the timeline is crazy short. Last month, a builder asked for stairs built in half the usual time. The stringers were off, but they said it was fine. How can we call ourselves carpenters if we ignore basics? It makes me question the standards we're setting. Do others see this happening too? I worry this is becoming normal in our area.

But are we really ignoring basics? I've seen rushed jobs turn out fine, and clients are usually happy. Maybe it's just a few bad cases, lol.

You said clients are usually happy with rushed jobs, but my friend patched a roof leak too fast last summer. The whole ceiling came down in the next storm and ruined the client's couch and tv. They sued him and he ended up paying for all the damage, lol.
