Finally hit 100 likes on my shop's little Facebook page after 14 months of posting
I started posting a photo of one finished project every Friday back in March of last year, mostly just to keep myself accountable on cleanup. Last Friday a walnut coffee table I built for a lady in Dayton got shared by some local page and it pushed us from 98 to 112 followers overnight, dumbest thing to be happy about but here we are. Do any of you actually get customers from social media or is it all word of mouth for you too?
That "dumbest thing to be happy about" line got me lol, 100 followers is a big deal when you actually built every one of them one Friday at a time. Word of mouth is still the main thing for me but those random shares do bring in people who never would've found you otherwise, so keep posting. The trick is that the page isn't really for the folks who already know you, it's for the friend of a friend who sees a table and goes oh wait I need one of those.
