Framing nailer jam in 20 degree weather taught me to keep a spare cylinder

Last winter I was on a shed build outside Buffalo and it was brutally cold. About 30 minutes in, my nailer started clicking but not sinking anything. Took it apart on the tailgate and the cylinder had frozen up with moisture in the air line. I blew it out, got it going, but it jammed again an hour later. I ended up driving to a hardware store for a new O-ring kit because the old one was shot. Spent $14 and 45 minutes. Now I keep a spare cylinder and a small desiccant filter in my truck, even for summer jobs. Has anyone else dealt with cold weather jams on their framing guns? What do you do to keep them running?

Desiccant beads work better than drying fluid if you microwave them first.
