Hit 500 built-in shelves last week. Changed my whole approach.
I was always a face-frame guy. Strong, traditional, looked good. Kept count out of curiosity. Shelf number 483 was a small pantry job in a 1920s house. Owner wanted it done in two days. I used a French cleat system instead. Finished in 5 hours. No face frame, no messing around. The cleats held 80 pounds easy. Now I'm rethinking every built-in I do. Anyone else switch methods after a surprise win like that?

Blew a level once trying to rush a face frame.
