Just realized I hit 5000 board feet of rough lumber processed this year
I was cleaning out my shop notebook and added up all the sawn lumber I've milled and planed since January. Five thousand. That's a full semi-load of logs I started with. Didn't even notice when I passed the number. Anyone else ever add up their yearly output and get surprised?

You ever do that thing where you start keeping track just for fun and then bam, you realize you've been way busier than you thought? I did the same thing last fall. I was just tallying up my rough sawn walnut and cherry for a project list and suddenly I was at like 3,200 board feet and I had no idea I'd even cut that much. The logs just pile up and you keep feeding them through the mill and next thing you know you've got a whole lumber yard in your shop. It sneaks up on you for sure.

Started keeping a tally of my shop time for fun last month and realized I'd spent like 40 hours just sharpening blades and organizing clamps. Not even making anything useful, just getting ready to get ready. It adds up sneaky like that.
