Saw a new housing development in Phoenix and their trim work made me shake my head
I was out there visiting family last month and drove through a big new neighborhood. Every single house had this flat, plain trim around the windows and doors, no detail at all. It looked cheap, like they just slapped up some primed pine and called it a day. I know the trend is for clean, modern lines, but it feels like we're losing the craft. A simple 1/4 inch roundover or even a basic colonial casing adds so much character for maybe an extra hour of work per opening. Are builders just cutting every corner they can now, or is there a real demand for this super plain look?

Looks like they hired a carpenter with a straight edge fetish.

Well, @victor_carter51, I do appreciate a good 90-degree angle.
