TIL my brand new framing nailer hates cold weather and so do I
Last Tuesday morning in Ohio it was 18 degrees and I had a shed to frame out. My new Paslode just clicked and wheezed like it was laughing at me instead of firing nails. I spent 20 minutes warming the battery in my armpit and holding the nailer against the truck heater. It finally worked after three false starts but I learned real fast that gas nail guns are divas in the cold. Has anyone else fought a nail gun on a freezing morning and found a trick that actually helps?
