A homeowner in Cincinnati pointed out my seam lines were catching the light from their big bay window.
I started using a seam roller with a 45-degree beveled edge instead of a flat one, and now those lines just disappear, has anyone else found a better tool for tricky light situations?

Heat gun on low, huh. What kind of wallpaper are you using that for, vinyl?

My buddy swears by a heat gun on low for stubborn seams, but I've never tried it myself.

Oh wow, that's such a specific light problem! I totally get what you mean about those seams catching light. I've got this south-facing bathroom window that makes every single seam look like a canyon on certain afternoons. It's actually the reason I switched to non-woven wallpapers for tricky spots (they're more forgiving than vinyl, I think). But honestly, the best trick I found wasn't a tool at all - I started overlapping my seams by like an eighth of an inch and then cutting through both layers with a sharp blade. It gives you this perfect butt joint that barely shows. Just make sure your blade is fresh though, a dull one will just tear the paper and make things worse.
