Had a streak of perfect seams for a whole week and then that Monday hit me hard
Last month I had a solid 7 days where every single seam I did on a job in Phoenix came out perfect, no ripples or lifting. I was feeling like a god of carpet laying, lol. Then Monday morning rolls around and I go to install this cheap olefin in a rental unit and the backing literally started falling apart as I was stretching it. I had to redo the whole room after fighting with it for 3 hours. Has anyone else had a stretch of good luck that ended with a total disaster like that?

Figured out the problem wasn't me, it was the glue. That cheap olefin had a funky backing that reacted to the humidity in the shop. Seams looked perfect going in but the adhesive never actually grabbed right. Bet your Phoenix job had a similar issue with the heat drying things out too fast. Sometimes it's not your streak ending, it's the materials fighting you.

Wait, the glue was the issue the whole time? That's wild.
