Hit 500 square feet of seam tape used this year and it hit me

I was counting up my leftover rolls the other day, doing inventory in the truck. Got to 500 feet of seam tape used since January and it just hit me how much waste I had been creating before. I used to just cut long strips and toss the extra, never thought about it. But that number made me realize I need to measure way more careful, maybe save a couple bucks and a lot of tape over a year. Any of you guys track how much tape you go through in a season?

Bet you're not counting the tape that gets thrown away still attached to the backing.

Clip the tape to the roll with a binder clip before you start cutting. Saves you from ripping off six extra inches trying to find the edge later.
