Hit 500 yards of carpet in one week for the first time and it wrecked my knees
I pulled a 510 yard week on a new construction job with four stories of stairs and hallways, thought I was tough until day three when my kneecaps started clicking like a bad seam roller. Now I'm wondering if pushing for that high yardage is worth the joint pain or if I should just cap myself at 300 and take more time. What do you guys aim for when the money's good but your body starts yelling at you?

Wait, are you saying the clicking is new or was that already an issue before? I've been there with the knee pain and found that pacing myself at 350 with some extra stretching between jobs actually helped me hit more weeks total than trying to crush it at 500. Your body's basically telling you the limit, so listen to it before you end up off work for two weeks.
