I thought the power stretcher was overkill until a 12x18 in a humid garage proved me wrong

For years I laughed at the guys hauling a power stretcher up stairs when a knee kicker always worked fine for me. Last month I did a 12x18 berber in a garage in Savannah with no AC, and by the second day the backing was so loose you could feel it shift when you walked. Borrowed a stretcher from a guy two towns over and the difference was night and day, the carpet locked in tight and stayed that way. Now I want to know how many of you actually use one on every job, or do you still trust the kicker for small rooms?
