Kraft tool vs. Roberts power stretcher, no contest after my 3rd job this week
Got stuck using a cheap rented power stretcher on a Tuesday install and it slipped twice ruining a seam. Has anyone else just given up on those flimsy rental units?

Wait, you're still using rental stretchers on a Tuesday install? That's wild. Those things are garbage - they slip every time.

Heard from a buddy who does commercial installs that the rented ones are basically engineered to fail on purpose so you keep coming back. He switched to buying his own cheap aluminum bars from a hardware store and says they grip way better than the rental gear. Your mileage may vary but I've seen too many slips with those things to trust em.
