My $30 seam roller was a total waste of money
I picked up a cheap seam roller from a big box store last month thinking it would be fine for residential jobs. Paid $30 for it and the thing started wobbling after just two rooms. The bearing went out and it left those little marks in the carpet where it wasn't rolling straight. I had to go back and redo part of a bedroom because the seam looked terrible. Ended up borrowing my buddy's $80 roller from a supply house and it was night and day different. The weight and balance made the work go so much faster. Have you guys found a good budget roller that actually holds up or do you just bite the bullet on the expensive ones?

So you're telling me you spent thirty bucks on a seam roller and it lasted about as long as a candy bar in my lunchbox? That's rough, man. I swear those big box store tools are designed to break right after the return window closes. I've had that same wobble issue with a cheaper roller once and it drove me nuts trying to fix the marks. Spend the extra cash next time or just borrow your buddy's again.

Notice how everything's built to fail right after you actually start depending on it. It's crazy how many products are designed for the return window instead of real use, like they count on you just giving up and buying another one. Good tools cost more upfront but save you money and headaches in the long run, it's just hard to remember that when you're staring at the cheaper price tag.
