Honestly I'd say you're lucky it broke because seam rollers are overrated for small rooms anyway, a good smoothing motion with your hand works just as well for tight spaces like that. When did seam rollers become such a crutch for everyone?

Hands work fine for small spots. People just love buying tools they don't actually need.
