Switched my mind about glue-down carpet for basements

I always thought glue-down carpet was just cheap apartment stuff, not for real homes. Then last fall I did a basement in Denver with moisture issues and the homeowner insisted on it with a moisture barrier glue. After 8 months I went back to check on it and that carpet looked perfect, no ripples or edges coming up at all. Has anyone else had better luck with glue-down than they expected?

Caught myself thinking the same way until I did a basement job with the moisture-proof glue and it held up way better than I expected. Changed my whole opinion on it.
