That time a customer swore their carpet was 'indestructible' and I ate my words
I had this job last fall in a house out in Clovis where the guy bragged nonstop about his 'space age' carpet. Said it was some kind of polypropylene blend that could take anything. I rolled my eyes because I have heard that a hundred times before. But he had a dog that tracked mud in and a kid who dropped red juice all over it, and we cleaned it up with just some warm water and a rag. No stain, no residue, nothing. I was honestly shocked because I am usually skeptical of those claims. So now I am wondering if any of you have run into a carpet that actually lived up to the hype or if I just got lucky that day. What was the brand or type that surprised you?

I had a Mohawk SmartStrand carpet put in my living room about four years ago. My golden retriever threw up on it twice and both times it came right up with just a damp cloth and some dish soap, no spot or smell left behind. Honestly, I was shocked because I bought it on sale thinking it was just regular polyester junk. That stuff is legit though, it's like they actually engineered it for real life.

Bet that's the same stuff they use in those commercial entryway mats at grocery stores, not the residential grade junk most people get stuck with.
