Watched a helper cut carpet off the roll backwards at a job in Mesa and cost us 40 square yards
He cut from the wrong end so the pattern ran against the nap and 40 square yards of berber were junk. Now I mark the roll with tape before anyone touches a knife, and the $320 hit came out of his check. How do you all keep new guys from pulling that same move?
