Am I the only one who thought beans needed meat to be a real dinner?
My grocery bill hit $85 a week for just me in Denver, and I was still hungry at 9pm every night. Then a coworker brought black beans and rice to lunch for a solid week, and I tried copying it with a $1 bag of dried beans I soaked on Sunday. What cheap pantry staple did you swear was boring until you actually gave it a fair shot?
