Bought a bag of frozen vegetables for $1.50 and made it last five days
Last week I grabbed a giant bag of mixed frozen veggies on sale at the Stop & Shop in Worcester, and I stretched it into dinners for almost a week by tossing it into rice, eggs, and leftover pasta. It saved me from ordering takeout three times, which would have cost at least $30 more. Has anyone else found a single cheap ingredient that just keeps giving?

Made it last five days" sounds like you were rationing those veggies like you're in a survival bunker, not a kitchen. But hey, I respect the hustle. Next thing you know, you'll be bragging about how a single packet of instant ramen got you through a whole work week. Seriously though, frozen veggies are the real MVP of broke eating. I've turned a bag of them into soup, stir fry, and even a weird casserole that I'm still not sorry about.

Used to roll my eyes at people preaching frozen veggies but you honestly just changed my mind with that casserole story.
