My roommate said "you spend too much on takeout" and I realized I was dropping $60 a week on burritos

After I actually added up the receipt totals from that one Mexican place near our apartment in Austin, I saw she was totally right so now I'm making those same burritos at home with canned beans and rice from HEB for like $8 total, anyone else have a meal they thought was cheap but was actually killing their budget?

Are you actually eating the same burritos or did you drop the quality too much with the canned stuff?

I used to buy the cheap store brand but after trying fresh ingredients once I can't go back.
