Picked up a bag of day-old bagels from the bakery counter for 99 cents and made 8 meals out of them
I was at the grocery store last Wednesday and saw this whole rack of day-old bagels by the bakery. They were 99 cents for a bag of 6. I asked the lady working there if they do that every day and she said yeah, they put them out around 7am. So I grabbed a bag, took them home, sliced and froze most of them. Made bagel pizzas with leftover sauce and cheese, croutons from the stale ends, and breakfast sandwiches with eggs. Still working through them 5 days later. Anyone else check the day-old section regularly or am I late to this?
