Talking to my neighbor Linda changed how I shop for rice

She told me she buys the 20lb bag of jasmine rice at the Asian grocery for like $14, not the tiny box at regular stores for $5. I always thought the big bags were only for restaurants but she said it lasts her 3 months. That convo made me check the price per pound and it's like half the cost. Anyone else stick to certain stores for bulk staples?

Girl YES. I used to be the same way with rice until my coworker dragged me to H Mart and showed me the 25lb bags of sushi rice for like $20. I was shook. Now I buy my chickpeas and lentils in bulk from the Indian grocery store down the street and it saves me so much money. The funny thing is the same brand of basmati rice at my regular supermarket is literally double the price for a bag half the size.
