Why does nobody talk about the canned beans costing $2.50 when dry beans are $1.29 a bag
I was standing in line at the Save A Lot on 5th last Tuesday and this older lady in front of me told the cashier she feeds her family of four on $40 a week and she buys dry beans, not canned. That hit me hard because I've been buying canned black beans at $1.09 a can for like two years, thinking I was saving time, but she said one bag of dry beans gives you the same amount as four or five cans and she soaks them overnight. Does anyone here actually make the switch to dry beans or is the time thing just too much for weeknights?
