Had a shift last Friday where every single ticket came in at once for 45 minutes straight

We were down a line cook and I nearly walked out after the seventh steak came back for temp issues, but the crew somehow pulled it together and we closed early, has anyone else had a night that felt like it was going to end your whole career?

Yeah "nearly walked out" is totally relatable.

Started keeping a little notebook where I wrote down every single thing that was bugging me at work. Like each time I felt frustrated I'd just jot it down real quick. After a week I saw a pattern - it was mostly just two or three things that kept coming up. Talked to my manager about it with the actual examples and we actually fixed most of them within a month. Made a huge difference honestly. Maybe try that if you're close to walking out too, sometimes the small stuff adds up way more than we realize.
