Bristle brush vs rotary whip for heavy creosote, my choice
I had a flue with a solid 1/4 inch of glaze after a rental property sat unused for 8 months, so I skipped my standard bristle setup and dropped $60 on a rotary whip attachment. It chewed through the buildup in 40 minutes versus the usual 2 hours, but I did dent my vacuum hose when the cable kinked, so now I'm curious if anyone else runs the whip with a shorter lead for tight bends.
