Dropped $300 on a rotary chimney brush setup that just smeared creosote around
Bought a rotary brush kit at a trade show in Columbus back in March for $300 because the guy made it sound like it would cut my sweep time in half. Ran it on a stubborn flue with stage 2 creosote and all it did was polish the glaze into a shiny mess that was way harder to get off than the original crust. Went back to my old 8 inch poly brush and rods and had it clean in 40 minutes. Anyone else get burned by rotary gear like this, or did I just pick the wrong heads for glazed creosote?
