Tried the sock method to clean a stubborn creosote cap...
Stuck an old gym sock over my brush head to really scrub a 8 inch clog on a rental property in Denver and the whole thing got snagged and ripped off inside. Spent 45 minutes fishing it out with a wire hook - never again, anyone else have a DIY cleaning idea blow up in their face?

Totally get where @blake432 is coming from, I used to roll my eyes at people posting about stuff like this too. But honestly, this one changed my mind because it made me realize how easy it is to overlook something that actually impacts a lot of people. Tbh, I read the whole post and the comments, and it's not just some random rant - there's real frustration behind it that I hadn't thought about before. Ngl, the more I sat with it, the more I saw how it ties into bigger issues that deserve some attention. So yeah, for me it was worth it, even if it seems small at first glance.
