Last Thursday was the worst day for air quality I've seen in 3 years

I live near Fresno and last Thursday the AQI hit 187 by noon. My asthma kicked in so bad I had to leave work early and sit in my car with the AC on recirculate for an hour before I could drive home. The sky looked like a dirty blanket dropped over the whole valley. Has anyone else noticed these bad spikes getting more common where you are?

Fresno's AQI hit 198 at 1 PM on that Thursday actually, I checked PurpleAir. The valley inversion layer just sat there all day trapping everything.

Did you check the real-time PM2.5 or just the AQI?
