Last Tuesday in Seattle felt like a real win because the city's new solar panel rebate finally got my neighbor to install a system.

Seeing his roof covered in panels after he said 'the math finally works' for 5 years made all the local policy fights feel worth it, so what's one small policy change in YOUR area that's actually getting people to act?

Our town's new compost pickup finally got my building to stop tossing food scraps.

Wish my building would get on board with that. The smell from our dumpster in the summer is brutal, just from all the food waste. It's such a simple change that makes a huge difference. Really hope more places start doing this.

@finley_harris5, does your building actually separate the compost or are they just throwing everything in one bin? Curious how they handle people who don't sort properly, that's always the sticky part with community programs. Otherwise it's just wishful thinking with extra bins.
