My city council keeps calling a new gas plant 'transitional infrastructure' when the budget shows it's a 40-year project.
How do we get them to stop using greenwashing terms that lock in fossil fuels for decades, and has anyone successfully pushed back against this in their own town?

Our local group got them to change the language by showing the budget at every public meeting.

Mary's idea about the budget is smart, but what happens when they just stop letting you talk at those meetings? Our council cut public comment time after we did that. How do you keep the pressure on when they try to shut you out?
