My neighbor in Boise bet me $50 that my old fridge used less power than his new smart one, and I lost
Last month my neighbor Rick came over with a little plug-in power meter and made me test my 1998 Kenmore against the new smart fridge he got at Costco. His fridge pulled 410 kWh over 30 days and mine pulled 620, which honestly surprised me since I always figured old appliances were built better. Now I'm looking at swapping it out, so what should I actually check before I buy a replacement?
