My neighbor said I was wasting money on native plants, but 3 months later her yard flooded and mine didn't
She told me grass needed more water than my rain garden setup, and after that big storm last Tuesday her whole backyard was a swamp while my drainage handled it fine. Anyone else had someone push back on native landscaping only to see it work better later?

Lol my neighbor called my pollinator patch a "weed jungle" until his whole lawn turned into a mosquito breeding ground and mine was full of bees and butterflies. Nature has a funny way of proving you right.
