Showerthought: I used to toss every jar and can in the trash until I learned my city takes glass curbside
Spent two years hauling glass to a dumpster across town when a neighbor in Boise told me last March that our recycling pickup actually takes it, so now I rinse and toss it in the blue bin and my trash is down to one bag a week, has anyone else found out their city recycles way more than they thought?
I spent about a year driving my glass to a drop-off spot near my old gym, which was real smart since I only went to that gym like twice a month anyway. Turns out the blue bin takes glass, aluminum, and even the cardboard I was breaking down for no reason. My garage looks way less like a trash museum now.
