Swapped my plastic wrap for beeswax wraps and saved $60 in 3 months

I was buying a big box of plastic wrap every 6 weeks for about $5 each. Then I tried making my own beeswax wraps with some fabric scraps and beeswax pellets from the craft store. They cost me about $12 total and I'm still using the same 8 wraps after 3 months. Has anyone else found a kitchen swap that actually cut down your trash and your spending?

But isn't the plastic wrap way more convenient? I tried beeswax wraps once and they were constantly falling apart and I had to keep reheating them to get them to stick. I feel like the $60 savings isn't worth the hassle of washing wax off my hands and having my sandwich wrappers get all crumbly after a few uses.

Hit the nail on the head. The reusable stuff is more of a project than a convenience, and for $60 I'd rather just buy a box of wrap and not think about it.
