The week after the local carbon fee passed, everything felt different
Last month the city council approved a $15 per ton carbon fee on commercial waste haulers, and the very next week my neighbor's trash company added a separate line item for it, so I asked the driver if he'd seen any businesses actually cut back yet and he just shrugged.
