Remember when I tried to teach my cousin how to shuffle cards with perfect technique? He laughed and said my hands were moving like a machine! I was so focused on getting each motion right that I completely killed the casual vibe. Now he brings it up every game night to tease me. It's easy to slip into robot mode without even noticing!

Classic overthink! It's so easy to get caught up in doing things right that you forget to have fun. I've done the same thing trying to explain board game rules. You want to share your passion, but it comes off too strong. Now I try to remember that good times matter more than perfect moves. Your cousin's teasing is just his way of saying he enjoys playing with you.

Tried to fix a sticky Monopoly board once with way too much oil. Made the money stick together and the dice kept sliding off the table. Sometimes trying to fix small problems just makes bigger, weirder ones.
