Finally switched from coolant mist to flood coolant on my Haas
Ran with a mist system for about 2 years, but it was always getting into the control box and causing issues. Swapped to flood last month and the finish on my aluminum parts is way better plus no more cleanup headaches. Anyone else make a similar switch or stick with mist for a specific reason?

...and not once did anyone mention the extra heat flood pulls out of the cut zone.

Is the mist actually pulling heat out effectively for certain materials though? Because I see guys running titanium with mist and the tool life is just garbage compared to flood every time. What kind of parts were you making that the mist finish was acceptable for two years?
