Had a coolant line blow off mid-run yesterday and it made a mess I haven't seen since I started in 2008

Was running a batch of stainless parts on my Haas VF-2 around 3pm, doing some light drilling, and then BAM. The hose clamp on my coolant line just let go. Sprayed all over the floor, the chip conveyor, even got on the ceiling tiles. I had to shut everything down, mop up for 20 minutes, and then spend another hour finding the right replacement clamp at the hardware store. The old spring clamps they use now just don't hold like the ones we had back in the day. Anybody else notice the quality of basic fittings going downhill, or is it just me?

I heard a guy mention on here that those spring clamps are getting thinner every year, just like @caleb_gibson said about the chiller lines.

DUDE, my buddy had the EXACT same thing happen on his Mori last week.

I read a post on Practical Machinist last week where a guy saw his spindle temp hit 145F before it threw an alarm on a Mazak. He said the chiller lines had a tiny kink that blocked flow. Might be worth checking the coolant lines and the filter screens before you go after the chiller itself. Did you pull the flow meter yet to see if it's actually moving fluid?
