Rant: Spent $200 on a cheap edge finder set and regretted it immediately
I bought a 10-pack of edge finders off Amazon for like $200 because I thought I was saving money over buying one good one. First one wobbled so bad it snapped off on the second use. The replacements were all out of spec by like 0.005 inches. I ended up spending another $80 on a single Mitutoyo edge finder from a local supplier. Has anyone else had luck with the cheap multipacks or am I the only one who got burned?

I bought a 10-pack of edge finders off Amazon for like $200" and you're surprised they were junk? Man, you got 10 edge finders for the price of one good one. Of course they're gonna wobble and be off by a few thou. That's on you for thinking Amazon bulk deals are the same as a tool truck brand. I've had great luck with cheap multipacks for stuff like basic parallels and clamps where precision doesn't matter. But for something that needs to be dead nuts on? Come on now. You learned a hard lesson but that's just how it goes sometimes.

Right, because buying 10 edge finders for the price of one good one was totally gonna work out fine. I'm sure they're great for checking if your machine is still on, just not for actually finding an edge.
