Finally got why people use Python over my old spreadsheet setup

I thought Python was just hype for 2 years at my data entry job, but last Tuesday I used it to clean a 4,000 row CSV in 10 minutes that would've taken me all afternoon in Excel, and now I'm wondering if I should learn pandas for real, what made you guys switch?
