My neighbor's kid asked me why I was copying code from a video

I was working on a Python script in my garage last night, trying to follow a tutorial. This 14 year old from down the street saw my screen and just asked, 'Why are you typing what he says? Why not make it do something else?' It hit me that I was just copying, not thinking. I spent the next hour trying to change the script to print a custom message 10 times instead of the example. It was messy, but it finally worked. Has anyone else had a simple question totally change how you practice?

Yeah, just gotta laugh it off and change the subject fast... learned that the hard way with my nephew last year.
